COMPREHENSIVE ORAL EXAM
A comprehensive oral exam is a thorough evaluation of your oral condition and physical well-being. This is the type of exam conducted for new patients. During this exam, the dentist will not only evaluate the condition of your teeth but also their supporting structures. This is accomplished through visual and radiographic examination. The bone support for your teeth will also be assessed with a periodontal probing exam. An oral cancer screening will be performed as well. The overall assessment will provide you with a restorative game plan as well as determine the type of cleaning which would be best for you.
Periodic Oral Evaluation
Once you have become an established patient, a periodic oral evaluation will be part of your cleaning. We will update your periodontal probing or x-rays, check for cavities, and conduct an oral cancer screening.
